I am out of state are you able to help me?
While we do understand the importance of face-to-face contact, we also recognize that we can assist clients who are out of state. If you're interested in learning more about our services and how we can help you remotely, feel free to book a complimentary consultation. We'd be happy to discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have.
How will you protect my Health information and privacy?
We take your privacy very seriously. We want you to feel comfortable sharing your information with us, which is why we want to assure you that all information you share with us is confidential. We will only request access to information that is relevant to our advocacy work, and we have appropriate measures in place, both physically and electronically, to protect your confidential information. It's important to note that all interactions between you and me as your advocate are confidential, except in cases where certain persons are specifically identified, and in compliance with our legal obligation under state and federal law.
Since you are a Licensed Nurse can you provide me with medical advice?
Health Equity Liaison Program wants to clarify that I do not provide medical advice, diagnose, or prescribe. My role is to provide resources and guidance to help you make informed decisions about your healthcare. Ultimately, the decisions are up to you, and I will work with you to ensure that your decisions are well-informed and in line with your goals. It's important to note that we work within the scope of a healthcare advocate's practice. My role is to guide and assist you in navigating the complex world of healthcare, including identifying and securing the resources you need to achieve your goals. If you have any questions about what that means or how we can help you, don't hesitate to reach out.
What are your fees?
Your initial consultation is free, which is great news. After that, the intake assessment will take place and it will involve going deeper into your medical history, obtaining necessary medical records, and exploring your goals. Once the intake assessment is completed, you can expect a care plan to be developed that meets the needs and goals of everyone involved. Depending on your needs and preferences, fees will be charged at an hourly rate or a monthly retainer. For medical billing, If savings can be secured for you, you will be charged a fee of 10-20% of the total savings. The percentage charged will depend on the size of the original bill.
